I have chosen to look at Eric because, having come across his work, i think that it captures what i am trying to achieve in my own practice; simple and effective.
Eric William Ravilious (22 July 1903 – 2 September 1942) was an English painter, designer, book illustrator and wood engraver.
Having stumbled across Eric's work, i have managed to pick out certain illustrations that i think would benefit me and my work.
The two illustrations above are fascinating portraits, something i know i could never achieve in this project and the time scale left, but it would be nice perhaps to work with colouring pencil?...
Extremely simple lines with a bit of depth... that's all.
